Job summary

BTI Security in Washington, DC seeks Armed Security Officers to perform a range of security duties on various posts. You will patrol, monitor entrances, control access, and report incidents to ensure safety and compliance with contract requirements.

The role requires reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English; familiarity with magnetometer and X-ray equipment; and the ability to respond to incidents with CPR/First Aid as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Two years of verifiable armed security officer experience.
• Current DC Armed Security Guard Card/permit required.
• Active DC Armed SPO, OC spray, Baton.
• Effective communication with internal/external customers.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Must read/write/speak English.
• Knowledge of security procedures per contract.
• Credential maintenance per contract.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor exterior and community areas on-premises.
• Access control of entrances and exits for employees and visitors.
• Monitor surveillance cameras for disruptions or unlawful activities.
• Provide detailed reports on daily activities and incidents.
