Job summary

Advanced Professional Security (APS) seeks a team of motivated, physically fit armed guards to protect a residential community in Denver. The role requires quick decision-making, professional presence, and strong communication skills in a high-risk environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in security or law enforcement, a valid firearms permit, and a Denver Guard Card. Both full-time and part-time shifts available, with compensation starting at $29.00/hour and benefits included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Multilingual in English/Spanish (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years in security or law enforcement; high-crime area experience a plus.
• Valid firearms permit; Denver Security Guard License; knowledge of local laws.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and inspect premises with foot/vehicle patrols to deter crime and unauthorized access.
• Respond to disturbances/emergencies; use firearms only as a last resort after non-violent options.
• Liaise with local police, fire, and EMS; provide incident reports.
• Prepare detailed daily reports with patrols, incidents, equipment checks; include photos/videos.
• Maintain weapons, detection devices, and security gear in working order.
• Engage with residents and visitors to deescalate tensions and maintain order.
• Identify and report security threats; recommend preventive measures to leadership.
