Job summary

Event Risk Inc. seeks a Uniformed Armed Security Associate to patrol facilities throughout Ohio, deter threats, and enforce security protocols. The role requires OPOTA and FAB qualifications, PISGS eligibility, and robust background checks.

Candidates must own a compliant semi-automatic handgun and pass ongoing firearm proficiency assessments. The position emphasizes professional judgment, situational awareness, and the ability to coordinate with law enforcement while ensuring a safe environment

Qualifications

Ohio OPOTA Qualification: documentation of OPOTA firearms training and qualification.
Firearms Bearer (FAB): firearms bearer qualification/certification for armed security.
PISGS Eligibility: eligibility to obtain and maintain PISGS registration.
Background Screening: successful completion of BCI and FBI background checks.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine patrols and identify potential threats or hazards.
Maintain a visible armed security presence to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor surveillance, alarm panels, and access control systems.
Control facility access and verify credentials; manage entry and departure of personnel.
Enforce client procedures and report security breaches or safety concerns.
Coordinate with law enforcement and first responders when necessary.
Follow use-of-force policies and uphold professional conduct.
