Liberty Defense Group is seeking an Armed Security Specialist to maintain a safe environment for clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires vigilance, sound judgment, and the ability to respond to routine and emergency situations in compliance with laws and company policies.

You will conduct patrols, monitor areas, respond to alerts, perform inspections, and enforce client policies while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Legally eligible to carry a firearm.
• Prior military, law enforcement, corrections, or armed security experience preferred.
• Must successfully complete firearms qualifications.

Position Overview

The Armed Security Specialist is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong situational awareness, sound judgment under pressure, and the ability to respond effectively to routine and emergency situations while complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct foot, vehicle, and stationary patrols
• Monitor assigned areas to deter criminal activity
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents
• Complete building, gate, and perimeter inspections
• Enforce client policies while providing excellent customer service
• Operate radios, surveillance equipment, and security systems
• Prepare accurate daily activity and incident reports
• Maintain a professional appearance and comply with all company policies

Required Equipment & Licenses

• State-issued Agent ID (or ability to obtain)
• NRA Basic Pistol Certification (or ability to obtain)
• Duty firearm with Level II or higher retention holster
• Magazine pouch
• OC Spray

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Legally eligible to carry a firearm
• Prior military, law enforcement, corrections, or armed security experience preferred
• Successfully complete all required firearms qualifications
• Ability to pass a federal background check
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Wear required duty equipment throughout the shift

Schedule

• Full-Time Positions Available
• Rotating assignments between fixed posts and mobile patrol
• Day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as assigned
• Overtime opportunities available

Pay & Benefits

• Starting Pay: $17.00/hour
• Armed Licensing Sponsorship Program: Qualified employees may participate in our company-sponsored licensing program. Liberty Defense Group covers the upfront training and licensing costs through a payroll repayment agreement. Upon successful completion and receipt of an Armed Guard Card, employees receive a completion bonus.
