Qualifications

Armed Security Shift Supervisor

Location: San Jose, CA (Transportation Site)

Pay Rate: $26.23 / Hour

Shift: Swing / Friday to Monday 1500 - 2300

Primary responsibility: Supervise and coordinate the delivery of security services on a specific shift at an assigned customer. Act as a liaison between site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers. Provide coaching, recognition, and discipline within signed empowerment range.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Active Guard Card.
• Active CA .40 Exposed Firearm Permit.
• Valid driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience; clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than one accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months).
• Level 1 Certificate (Power to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force Certificate).
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner.
• Ability to prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting.
• Knowledge of operating procedures and instructions.
• Background investigation and a post‑offer/pre‑employment drug/alcohol test required.
• Intermediate computer skills for use of wireless technology at client sites.
• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
• Ability to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat.
• Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
• Occasionally climb stairs, ramps, or ladders during shift.
• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time.
