Job summary

Prosegur is seeking an Armed Sergeant - Security (Guarding-USPS) in Topeka, KS to patrol client sites, deter threats, and respond to incidents with professional conduct. The role requires a background in military police or law enforcement and an armed license.

The ideal candidate will hold an Armed Security License, Security Guard Card, and a valid driver's license, and be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays across multiple shifts. This is a full-time position with company benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience: Military Police, law enforcement, or certified corrections is required.
• Firearms: Must have own firearm and a valid license to carry; armed guard license is required in applicable states.
• Training: Certified in arrest control, handcuff, and baton use is preferred.
• Physical Fitness: Capable of performing physical duties such as patrolling and responding to incidents.
• Compliance: Understanding of and commitment to all local, state, and federal security and firearm regulations.
• Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, identifying potential security breaches or hazards.
• Deter, detect, and respond to security threats or incidents promptly and professionally.
• Control access points and monitor premises to prevent unauthorized access.
• Provide emergency response, including de-escalation, arrest control, and restraining individuals as necessary.
• Maintain clear and concise incident reports and documentation for all security‑related incidents.
• Engage with individuals in a courteous and professional manner to enforce rules and regulations.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement when required.
