Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Armed Security Patrol Driver in Norcross, GA. This full-time driving role protects government locations, performs patrols, and delivers professional service to visitors and staff.

You will conduct patrols, control access, and respond to incidents calmly while following site policies and reporting activities accurately. A valid license and security experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment.
• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience, or a college degree.
• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• 1+ years of armed security or related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff while following site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of interior, parking, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and assist with orderly entry/exit procedures.

Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control activities, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government licensing location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public-service agencies as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit procedures in accordance with site policies.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements, and complete accurate reports and documentation for observed incidents and patrol activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess one or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
