Allied Universal® Enhanced Protection Services is hiring an Armed Security Operative in Stamford, CT to conduct armed and unarmed patrols at client sites, monitor CCTV, report incidents, and deter security threats. The role demands vigilance, clear communication, and adherence to site policies.

Shifts run 8am–4pm, 4pm–12am, or 12am–8am. Must have previous law enforcement experience; 18+ for unarmed, 21+ for armed roles; background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Background check and drug screen required by policy and law.
• Prior civilian or military law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out safety procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Regular and random patrols; observe and report suspicious behavior.
• Escort or assist as needed and document incidents clearly.

Pay and Shift

• Pay is $40 per hour, full‑time
• Shifts could be either 8am to 4pm, 4pm to 12am or 12am to 8am.

Our risk and consulting group, under Allied Universal® Enhanced Protection Services, is hiring an Armed Security Operative. The Armed Security Operative will conduct armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior). Additional duties include controlling access and egress; monitoring CCTV and alarm systems; composing reports; deterring criminal activity and misconduct.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site‑specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Intercede, escort, or assist in escorting persons as needed.
• Observe and report inappropriate or suspicious behavior and/or materials/objects to the client.
• Communicate and/or document any irregular security‑related or safety‑related incidents.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Prior civilian or military law enforcement experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone.
• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies.
• A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch.
• Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service.
