Job summary

Grey Dog Security is seeking a high-caliber Operations Supervisor to join our South Michigan team. The role bridges field execution with site oversight, managing officer rosters, ensuring compliance, and upholding the Grey Dog standards of safety and service.

The ideal candidate brings 1–2 years armed guard experience, an active Michigan CPL, and a proven ability to remain calm under pressure, de-escalate conflicts, and lead a security team across a 24/7 schedule.

Qualifications

• Armed guard experience required; 1–2 years preferred.
• Active Michigan CPL required for armed duties.
• High school diploma or GED; must be at least 21 years old.
• Background check and drug screen must be cleared before employment.
• Open-shift availability across 24/7 schedule and mobility to cover rosters.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site, ensuring officers follow post orders and safety standards.
• Coordinate with master scheduler to manage shift coverage and call-ins.
• Conduct site checks, audit performance, and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Respond calmly to disturbances or emergencies; use de-escalation to resolve conflicts.
• Oversee armed post protocols and ensure firearms handling complies with law and policy.
• Communicate with clients, officers, and local law enforcement during incidents.
• Document incidents and prepare shift summaries for leadership.
