Allied Universal in Palmdale, CA is seeking an Armed Security Officer for Vehicle Patrol. You will monitor assigned areas, deter incidents, and respond to security concerns at aerospace and defense sites.

This full-time position requires professional communication, a valid Armed Guard Card, and a clean driving record. You will work a night schedule and join a team committed to service, safety, and integrity.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures at an aerospace/defense location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and restricted spaces to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following escalation procedures and coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders.
• Maintain reports, activity logs, and incident documentation per laws and Allied Universal policies for armed posts.

What You'll Do

• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and restricted spaces to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures and coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Maintain required reports, activity logs, and incident documentation while following applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies for armed posts.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
