Job summary

Patriot Group International (PGI) seeks an Armed Security Officer to support mission efforts in the San Antonio, TX area. The role requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and daily protection of client personnel and assets within a secure facility.

The position is part-time, reporting to the Site Manager, with a focus on enforcing policies, conducting post inspections, and maintaining high security standards through ongoing training and post orders adherence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of security, or one year of local, state, or federal law enforcement experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of honorable military service, active or reserve, in any branch of the US Armed Forces
• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Ability to complete handgun and shotgun training course per Texas DPS licensing requirements
• Must have reliable transportation during all seasons
• Must fluently speak, read, comprehend, and write in English
• Must have High School diploma or GED
• Ability to complete Texas DPS Commissioned Security Officer certification
• Ability to pass pre-employment and periodic drug screens

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve knowledge of post orders, policies, procedures, and standards of conduct
• Prevent unauthorized access by enforcing client and PGI policies, badges, locks, and inspections
• Provide security protection for Client and PGI personnel and property
• Report or respond to incidents, security, and safety concerns per post orders
• Respond to alarms per post orders
• Monitor security cameras and electronic surveillance systems
• Guide and direct individuals on site
• Assist in controlling locks and door access
• Perform testing and inspections of alarms, locks, and access control
• Prevent theft of physical or intellectual property
• Promote security policy awareness to client staff, vendors, and contractors
• Provide mail delivery and package receipt services if required
• Maintain standards of competency, conduct, appearance, and integrity
• Deliver reports as assigned by Site Manager
• Complete required pre-assignment and sustainment training
• Assist in collateral duties including armory and equipment maintenance
• Other duties as assigned

We are looking to hire Armed Security Officers to join our team in the San Antonio, TX area, where we will provide Force Protection solutions that protect and deter sophisticated threats and global attacks.

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Armed Security Officer is the lead of our force-protection security operations. Your diligence, mission focus, and passion for maintaining national security make you the first line of defense in PGI’s comprehensive force protection security design.

The Cleared Armed Security Officer will be responsible for the following:

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve knowledge of written and oral post orders, policies, procedures and standards of conduct
• Prevent all unauthorized access by enforcing all Client and PGI policies including implementing and enforcing badging policies, controlling physical locks and keys, and inspecting persons and equipment
• Provide security protection for all Client and PGI personnel and property within the assigned area of responsibility
• Report or respond to incidents, security, and safety concerns in accordance with established post orders
• Respond to alarms in accordance with established post orders
• Monitor security camera and other electronic surveillance systems
• Guide, follow and direct individuals throughout the Site
• Assist in controlling physical and electronic locks and unlocking and locking doors and areas
• Perform testing and other inspection services related to access control including performing routine inspections and testing of alarms, locks, doors, monitoring systems and other access control mechanisms
• Prevent theft of physical or intellectual property
• Assist in promoting communication and awareness of data center security policies to client employees, vendors, contractors and others
• Provide mail delivery and package receipt services if required
• Maintain standards of Commissioned Security Officer competency, conduct, appearance, and integrity, including compliance with PGI and the Client’s Code of Conduct and Uniform Policy
• Execute and deliver various reports as assigned by the Site Manager
• Complete and maintain pre-assignment, client, State, and PGI sustainment training as directed
• Assist in collateral duties including but not limited to armory and security equipment maintenance tasks
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of one (1) year of security, or one year of local, state, or federal law enforcement experience; or
• A minimum of two (2) years of honorable military service, active or reserve, in any branch of the US Armed Forces
• A minimum of 21 years of age
• Ability to complete a handgun and shotgun training course in compliance with Texas DPS licensing requirements, and conduct regularly scheduled sustainment training in the San Antonio metropolitan area
• Must have reliable transportation during all seasons
• Must fluently speak, read, comprehend, and write in English
• Must have High School diploma or GED
• Ability to complete Texas DPS Commissioned Security Officer certification including the DPS online application process, fingerprints, and background investigation
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and periodic random drug screening

Required Security Clearance:

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current Texas Commissioned Security Officer License (Level III)
• Four (4) years of security, military, or law enforcement experience
• Demonstrated history of safe and successful security operations experience in highly secure facilities

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to bend at the waist, knees, and waist
• Must have the physical ability to perform a variety of training functions
• Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, walking long distances on a training facility, and operate equipment.
• Must be physically capable of standing a 12-hour post
