Job summary

Allied Universal in Greenville, SC is seeking a Security Officer Armed - Site Access to safeguard clients and monitor access at an aerospace and defense location. The role emphasizes professional conduct, integrity, and a strong customer-service mindset.

You’ll perform armed patrols, verify credentials, and respond to incidents while maintaining post readiness and accurate reporting. Full-time schedule with daytime shifts and weekend coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 3 years of security-related experience, or law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain required armed post readiness, complete accurate activity and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
