Job summary

The Security Centre Limited is seeking an Armed Security Officer in a fast-paced environment to safeguard facilities, assets, and personnel. You will apply your law enforcement or security background to monitor, deter, and respond to incidents while ensuring a safe on-site environment.

Responsibilities include controlling access points, patrolling with CCTV, and documenting incidents with clear, timely reports. First aid/CPR certification is desirable.

Qualifications

• Active armed certification where applicable
• Experience in law enforcement, military, or security roles
• Knowledge of CCTV surveillance techniques and perimeter patrols
• Ability to manage high-pressure situations with calm and decisiveness
• First aid / CPR certification is desirable; willingness to obtain if not certified
• Excellent observation and reporting skills with clear communication
• Physical fitness to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol designated areas using CCTV systems and physical presence to deter unauthorized access and suspicious activity
• Control access points for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, verifying credentials and maintaining security logs
• Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, employing conflict management to de-escalate situations
• Conduct regular surveillance inspections, fence checks, and yard audits to ensure perimeter security integrity
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or vandalism and reporting per protocol
• Provide first aid or CPR when necessary and coordinate with emergency responders as needed
• Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security documentation accurately and promptly
