Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer Patrol Threat Detection in Albuquerque, NM to monitor and protect government facilities. As a part-time role, you will provide visible security, respond to incidents, and maintain professional customer service while documenting observations.

This position requires an armed guard card or license (preferred), being 21+, a high school diploma, and ability to pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and the public while performing site-specific security procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions and concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following post orders and procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, deter unauthorized access, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Coordinate with site representatives, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership to communicate incidents and observations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions and potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, helping to deter unauthorized access and maintaining accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Coordinate with site representatives, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed to communicate incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
