Job summary

Securitas US Business Unit in New Jersey is seeking an Armed Security Officer (retired police officer) for a part-time shift Friday and Saturday nights, 11pm–7am. The officer will monitor premises, patrol varied locations, enforce site regulations, and provide customer service to employees and visitors.

A valid armed license, firearm permit, and ability to carry on duty are required, along with being at least 21 years old.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Armed Security Officer license or Guard Card (state-specific).
• Current firearm permit and ability to carry legally on duty.
• Prior law enforcement – RETIRED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Excellent situational awareness and communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule — must be available nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Pass an Assessment test.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor premises and patrol assigned locations.
• Preserve order and enforce site regulations and directives for personnel and visitors.
• Provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.
• Serve as a physical deterrent and assist in maintaining a safe environment.
