Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Armed Security Officer in Morganton, NC. You will patrol, deter incidents, monitor access, and respond to emergencies at a government corrections location while providing professional customer service.

A valid driver’s license is required for driving posts; an armed guard card/license is preferred. You must be 21+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and pass background checks and a drug screen. Weekend shifts (Sat/Sun) are offered.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct armed patrols of buildings, grounds and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and report incidents.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally following post orders.
• Prepare clear reports and coordinate with authorities when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization, and report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner.
• Prepare reports and coordinate with facility personnel and responding authorities.
