Job summary

Allied Universal in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed to provide reliable security at an assigned site with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts to boost earnings. This role offers flexibility and a clear path to fuller schedules. Pay is $21.75 per hour.

The day schedule runs 09:00 AM–09:00 PM. Candidates must have 3+ years of combined security experience (or a college degree), an Armed Guard Card or license, and a high school

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Armed Guard Card or license.
• 5+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and records of security-related observations.
