Allied Universal in Ventura, CA is seeking an Armed Security Officer (Part Time) to protect government facilities. Duties include patrols by vehicle and foot, access control, and professional customer service to visitors and staff.

A valid driver’s license is required. Minimum two years of security experience and a high school diploma are expected; ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Flexible day/night shifts available via our Shift platform.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government facility personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials as required, controlling entry and exit in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs; communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

What You'll Do:
