Job summary

AGS, an Akima company, is seeking Armed Contract Security Officers to protect TVA facilities in Clarksville, TN. Officers must meet strict suitability standards, pass drug and background checks, and complete required training before deployment.

Qualifications

• Three years of security experience within the past five years.
• Three years of military or National Guard service (active or reserve).
• Associate degree or higher in a security or law enforcement-related field.
• Successful completion of a police officer's basic training academy.
• Equivalent experience or education approved by the CTS.
• Must fluently speak, read, comprehend, and write in English.
• Must pass background screening, psychological evaluation, drug testing, and all required initial training.
• Must meet TVA suitability criteria prior to assignment.

Responsibilities

• Access control operations.
• Visitor processing and screening using X-ray machines, WTMD, HHMD.
• Vehicular and foot security patrols and traffic control.
• Alarm monitoring and response; reporting safety issues and incidents.
• Completing reports, maintaining records, and providing testimony when required.
• Responding to injury or illness until medical personnel arrive.
