Job summary

Piedmont Security & Patrol Services, LLC is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a full-time, weekday assignment at a large outdoor shopping center, performing foot and vehicle patrols to maintain safety and order.

The ideal candidate will have NC PPSB certification, be at least 21, possess a clean driving history, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact professionally with tenants, visitors, and public safety personnel.

Qualifications

• Must have NC PPSB Unarmed Security Officer certification.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid NC driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Clean criminal history and driving record.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct continuous foot and vehicle patrols.
• Provide visible security presence to deter crime.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and service calls.
• Observe and report suspicious activity and safety hazards.
• Prepare detailed written reports and logs.
• Assist the public while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Enforce property rules and trespass directives.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and company police.
• Maintain equipment, firearm, uniform, and patrol vehicle.
