Qualifications

• Armed guard card or license is required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
• 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while coordinating with hospital personnel and public responders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and screen or direct visitors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity and communicate relevant information to leadership and site contacts.
