Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer to serve a government facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. You will perform armed patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, incident reporting, and respond to emergencies with professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications include a valid Michigan CPL, US citizenship, minimum age 21, high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to obtain required firearms certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current driver’s license if driving a company or customer owned vehicle.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
• Federal and state firearms qualifications.
• NWDTP certification.
• OC, Baton and handcuffing certifications.
• Defensive tactics and de-escalation training.
• Two years armed security experience or two years US military service or one year armed civilian law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed security for high-profile government facility.
• Patrol premises on foot or vehicle and monitor CCTV.
• Control access and respond to incidents per protocol.
• Greet visitors and report safety concerns in writing.
• Maintain post orders and follow site-specific procedures.
• Communicate clearly with client employees and guests.
• Emergency response and threat deterrence.
