Job summary

Oklahoma Military Department is seeking a Security Guard II for full-time work protecting Air National Guard facilities and coordinating access control. The role requires CLEET-licensed armed security and the ability to operate under FPCON conditions.

Responsibilities include gate identity verification, visitor management, and monitoring via CCTV and alarms, with regular reporting and inspections. Physical readiness and compliance with extensive employment conditions are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of routine security practices; ability to follow oral and written instructions; give clear directions; write reports.
• Six (6) months of security, law enforcement or emergency responder experience, or direct care of juveniles in a secure residential facility.
• Possess a current Armed Security Guard License through the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET).
• Standing for long periods, work in all weather conditions, lift minimum of 15 pounds.
• Contingent on background check, drug & alcohol screening, PAT, medical exam, MMPI, and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Controls access to facility by verifying identity and purpose of individuals seeking entrance to installation
• Provide identification check at gate entrance; maintain visitor log; provide passes; greet visitors; count individuals inside the installation
• Monitor facility using video camera system, alarms, and personal inspection
• Physically check each door and vault to ensure they are locked; inspect for intruders; monitor video as assigned by supervisors
• Provide security including identification checks, vehicle search; ensure proper ID; deny access to unauthorized individuals
• Perform random vehicle inspection as warranted by FPCON level or probable cause
• Provide direction and assistance to visitors and callers; refer to appropriate personnel; notify local law enforcement if needed
• Prepare documentation, daily log for all incidents and security violations
• Maintain Armed Security Guard License with CLEET
• Attend CLEET mandated training per year
