Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Driver in Bayboro, NC to protect government facilities and other sites. You will perform regular armed patrols, maintain a visible security presence, and respond to incidents in a professional, controlled manner while coordinating with staff and agencies.

The role requires an armed guard card, a minimum of 6 months of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public while following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, points of access, and perimeter areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner per post orders.
• Monitor access, verify credentials, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident activity as required.
• Communicate with facility personnel and public agencies; prepare clear incident reports.

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Driver in Bayboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors. This driving role offers the opportunity to serve with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, reliable approach while contributing to a controlled environment.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Maintain professional communication with facility personnel and appropriate public agencies, and prepare clear, accurate reports of observations and incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
