Allied Universal in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Armed Security Officer to patrol facilities, deter incidents, and respond to emergencies with professionalism. The role requires a valid Texas Level III Armed Certification and a driver’s license, with a schedule including afternoon shifts and weekends.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain armed post qualifications and carry firearm in accordance with laws and company policy.

As a Armed Security Officer Full Timein San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Security Professional supporting a vital utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. Deliver exceptional customer service and communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

Pay Rate: $19.74 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at utility operations locations.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas, documenting observations and irregular conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting emergency services when appropriate.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report unauthorized activity, suspicious behavior, and/or facility concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications and carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and company policy.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
