Job summary

First Coast Security Solutions is seeking Armed Protective Security Officers to support federally owned and leased facilities in Springfield, MO and surrounding areas within a four-hour drive. You will respond to incidents, control access, and protect personnel and property on diverse sites while maintaining professional conduct.

Eligible candidates must be 21+, a U.S. citizen, possess a valid Social Security Card, have reliable transportation, be fluent in English, and be able to obtain DHS/FPS

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be a United States citizen.
• Must possess a valid Social Security Card bearing name and number.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Fluently speak, read, comprehend, and compose reports in English.
• Must obtain and maintain suitability as mandated by DHS/FPS.
• Must maintain required licenses, permits and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Control access to facilities by verifying admittance, screening visitors, preventing unauthorized entry.
• Provide courteous, professional interactions reflecting on the client and security department.
• Communicate clearly with visitors, employees, and team members.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and overall facility activity, including CCTV and remote access systems.
• Patrol assigned areas on foot or vehicle to identify hazards and security violations.
• Respond to incidents (fires, medical emergencies, disturbances, hazmat, weather) following procedures.
• Protect evidence and secure incident scenes as required.
• Complete logs, reports, and documentation accurately.
• Report suspicious activities or safety concerns to client representatives and authorities.
• Follow safety rules, company policies, and site procedures.
• Other duties as needed.
