Qualifications

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Must possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patrons, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations with coordination with law enforcement as needed.
• Conduct armed patrols of library facilities, parking areas, and entrances to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, assist with access control, and report suspicious activity or violations.
• Prepare incident reports and maintain documentation while handling equipment per site policies.
