Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must possess and maintain all required state-issued armed security licenses, firearm permits, and certifications.
• Must be legally authorized to possess and carry a firearm and complete required firearm training.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed security coverage at multiple client locations based on operational needs.
• Maintain a visible security presence to protect employees, visitors, facilities, and client assets.
• Conduct routine patrols and security inspections to identify hazards and risks.
• Control access to facilities by verifying identification and enforcing procedures.
• Respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies promptly and professionally.
• Apply conflict-resolution and de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Carry and maintain an authorized firearm in accordance with laws and company policy.
• Follow use-of-force policies and emergency protocols.
• Document incidents and observations with clear written reports.
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarm panels as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, client representatives, and responders.

About the Role

As an Armed Flex Security Officer with Prosegur, you will help maintain safe and secure environments across multiple client locations while providing flexible armed security coverage to meet changing operational needs. This position supports staffing shortages, employee absences, special assignments, and other security coverage requirements.

Armed Flex Security Officers must be adaptable, dependable, and prepared to work at different locations and schedules while maintaining strict adherence to firearm safety, security procedures, and client requirements. Responsibilities may include conducting patrols, controlling access, responding to incidents, and providing professional customer service.

The ideal candidate is reliable, disciplined, and confident in handling challenging situations. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to safety, de-escalation, and responsible firearm handling are essential to success in this role.

In This Role, You Will

• Provide armed security coverage at multiple client locations based on operational and staffing needs.
• Maintain a visible security presence to protect employees, visitors, facilities, and client assets.
• Conduct routine patrols and security inspections to identify suspicious activity, safety hazards, and potential risks.
• Control access to assigned facilities by verifying identification, monitoring entry and exit points, and enforcing security procedures.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, alarms, emergencies, and requests for assistance.
• Apply conflict-resolution and de-escalation techniques to manage potentially dangerous situations.
• Carry and maintain an authorized firearm in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Prosegur policies.
• Follow established use-of-force policies, firearm safety procedures, and emergency response protocols.
• Quickly learn and follow site‑specific post orders, security procedures, and client requirements.
• Observe, document, and report incidents, unusual activity, and security concerns through accurate written reports.
• Monitor surveillance systems, alarm panels, and other security equipment as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, client representatives, law enforcement, and emergency responders.
• Adapt to changing assignments, work environments, and schedules while maintaining consistent security standards.

Experience & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must possess and maintain all required state‑issued armed security licenses, firearm permits, and certifications, as applicable.
• Must be legally authorized to possess and carry a firearm and successfully complete required firearm training and qualifications.
• Previous armed security, military, law enforcement, or related security experience preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple client locations and adapt quickly to different environments and security procedures.
• Flexible availability to work varying shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and short‑notice assignments.
• Knowledge of firearm safety, use‑of‑force principles, and conflict de‑escalation techniques.
• Strong communication, observation, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and exercise sound judgment in high‑pressure situations.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic reports and documentation.
• Ability to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work independently and follow established security procedures and instructions.
