Allied Universal, a premier security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Richmond, VA. You will safeguard clients across industries, perform routine and random armed patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

Responsibilities include access control, documenting observations, and enforcing site policies while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control activities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of financial institution facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit procedures.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policy, and site-specific post orders.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach while protecting people, property, and assets.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of military police, corrections officer, or armed security-related experience, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
