As an Armed Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver in San Diego, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.94 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑related protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor assigned areas for unusual behavior, suspicious activity, and policy violations, and report findings according to Allied Universal procedures and site expectations.
• Support cash handling and other sensitive operation areas through visible presence, controlled access practices, and professional interaction with employees and authorized visitors.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A 40 caliber endorsement is required.
• A California weapons permit with 9mm caliber endorsement is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
