Job summary

DK Security is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a Dowagiac, MI site. You will protect the building, grounds and people, manage access at entry/exit, and work with a team to ensure a secure environment.

The role requires an armed license (CPL/LEOSA where applicable), a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass a drug screen and PAT. Compensation starts at $19/hour with benefits; schedules are Mon-Fri 7:30 AM–3:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have Michigan CPL or LEOSA for armed work if 21+.
• Clean background with no felonies or disqualifying misdemeanors.
• Possess valid Michigan Driver License or equivalent.
• Ability to pass drug screening and PAT as required.

Responsibilities

• Guard posts at entry/exit points of the local base.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols to ensure safety.
• Check IDs for employees, vendors, and visitors.
• Prevent unauthorized entry and de-escalate conflicts.
• Document daily activities and report incidents.
• Follow site post guidelines and work as part of a team.
