Allied Universal in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a Security Officer Armed Part Time Patrol Response to protect clients across various industries. You will perform armed patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while maintaining calm, professional service.

This part-time role offers a daytime schedule on Saturdays and Sundays with a pay rate of $33.70 per hour. Candidates must hold a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit, an Armed Guard Card, and a Law Enforcement Officer License, plus minimum HS

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, reporting suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Maintain accurate logs and incident reports, coordinating with transit personnel and emergency responders as needed.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, transit policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, access points, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while coordinating with transit personnel and public emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
