Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the United States.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Must have a Social Security Card issued by SSA.
• Two years of armed security or one year of law enforcement in full-duty status.
• Firearms training and qualifications meet state/federal requirements.
• Fluent English for reports written in English.
• Familiarity with securing facilities and/or vehicles.
• Physically able to stand a 12-hour post.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to pass background, drug screen, and physical exam.
• MRPT suitability requirements.
• Proven handgun proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide security protection and access control.
• Protect government property, classified material and personnel within assigned areas.
• Report and respond to unusual or emergency situations.
• Be alert for security, property or safety concerns and take appropriate action.
• Control ingress/egress into posted areas.
• Prevent or report violations of security and safety rules and regulations.
• Respond to alarm signals or suspicious activities.
• Maintain knowledge of security orders and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
