Job summary

Allied Universal in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an Armed Security Officer to safeguard government locations, perform armed patrols, monitor access points, and deliver professional customer service. The role requires an armed guard card or license and emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and a collaborative culture.

This full-time position offers a schedule of 2:00 PM–10:00 PM on Wed–Sat, with a pay rate of $20.96 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Armed guard card or license is required.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Perform armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, courtyards, and perimeter areas on a regular and random basis to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
• Monitor access points and help maintain controlled entry and exit for authorized personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles in accordance with site requirements.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs; communicate observations and relevant information to site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and public agencies as appropriate.
