Job summary

Allied Universal® is hiring an Armed Security Officer. The Armed Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. Armed Security Officers act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; they detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts which may be a threat to the property, clients, guests or employees at the site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement, military, or private armed security experience.
• Minimum of 21 years of age (or higher if required by the state).
• Excellent communication skills; able to articulate and write clear and concise incident or situation reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information.
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure protection of people, assets, and information.
• Preserve order and enforce rules, regulations, and directives for the viability of the site.
• Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons.
• Greet guests and employees, escort visitors and contractors, secure ingress and egress points, and secure classified information.

Site Location: Atlanta Ga 30326

Employment Type: Full Time

Starting Base Pay Rate: $20.06 / hour

Availability: All Shifts Available

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
• Preserve order and enforces rules, regulations, and directives for the viability of the site
• Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons.
• Greet guests and employees, assisting where appropriate; escort visitors and contractors, secure ingress and egress points, secure classified information
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders, reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and verbal communication; interact with client and/or other security personnel regarding order execution when appropriate
• Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms; act as a first responder in emergency situations and provide first aid as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement, military, or private armed security experience
• Minimum of 21 years of age (or higher if required by the state)
• Excellent communication skills; able to articulate and write clear and concise incident or situation reports
• Able to complete all range qualifications and functions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

• Associates degree or higher In Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field
