Position Overview

IronRock Security is seeking a reliable and experienced Armed Security Officer with 5+ years of armed security experience to oversee access control at the higher education center in Lakewood, NJ. This role requires a strong presence, excellent communication skills, and prior experience with access control. The guard will help ensure site coverage, support fellow officers, and maintain a safe environment for staff and students.

Pay Rate: $25–28/hour

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor access control points.
• Conduct regular patrols of the residential property.
• Write clear incident and daily activity reports.
• Support scheduling coordination and communicate staffing needs.
• Maintain a professional and customer‑friendly presence.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies appropriately.

Requirements

• Previous security experience required.
• 5+ years of law enforcement and/or armed security experience.
• Access control experience required.
• SORA license.
• Valid driver’s license (required for periodic mobile patrols).
• Strong communication and report‑writing skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Compensation & Benefits

• $25–28/hour
• Full‑time and part‑time opportunities available.
