Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Two years of US Armed Forces service or security experience; or two years of security experience.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to pass required background screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed security services for government facilities, personnel, and assets.
• Perform access control and traffic control functions per procedures.
• Conduct walking and motorized patrols to detect and deter threats.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, incidents, and other security-related events.
• Conduct personnel, vehicle, building, and facility inspections.
• Perform package, parcel, and property inspections as required.
• Monitor activity and identify suspicious behavior or safety concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities in required reports.

Summary

This positionis responsible forprotecting personnel, facilities, property, and assets through access control, patrol operations, emergency response, and security enforcement activities in support of federal security missions.

• The ideal candidate is a dependable security professional with strong observational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to serve on a mission-critical security team while helping ensure the safety and security of government personnel, visitors, and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed security services in support of government facilities, personnel, and assets.
• Perform access control and traffic control functionsin accordance withestablished procedures.
• Conduct walking and motorized patrol operations to detect and deter security threats.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, incidents, and other security-related events.
• Conduct personnel, vehicle, building, and facility inspections.
• Perform package, parcel, and property inspections asrequired.
• Monitor activity andidentifysuspicious behavior, security violations, or safety concerns.
• Documentincidents, observations, and security-related activities in required reports and logs.
• Interact professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and government personnel.
• Maintain assigned equipment, uniforms, and operational readiness standards.
• Support emergency response and incident management activities.
• Work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, andspecial eventswhenrequired.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GEDrequired.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Two (2) years of service in the United States Armed Forces, including Reserve or National Guard service; or
• Any combination of two (2) years of military service and physical security experience as an armed or unarmed security officer; or
• Associate's degree in Security, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or a related field; or
• Successful completion of a police officer basic training academy.
• Mustpossessand maintain a valid state driver's license.
• Ability to successfully pass required background screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Priorarmed security, military, law enforcement, or force protection experience.
• Experience supporting federal government or Department of Homeland Security contracts.
• Experience conducting access control, patrol, and emergency response operations.
• Experience operating security systems, communications equipment, or surveillance technology.
• CPR, First Aid, or other security-related certifications.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of physical security, force protection, and access control principles.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively during emergencies andhigh-stresssituations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiencywith Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
• Ability tooperatecomputers, radios, vehicles, and standard office equipment.
• Strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prepareaccuratereports andmaintainrequired documentation.
• Ability to interact professionally with personnel at all organizational levels.

Estimated Salary/Wage
