Shelby County Schools is hiring a security professional to provide comprehensive security services across facilities, maintaining safety for staff and students. The role emphasizes robust patrols, access control, rapid incident response, and accurate reporting.

Candidates should have a Tennessee Armed Guard License (or ability to obtain), a valid driver’s license, and at least three years of security experience, with a focus on keeping school environments secure and compliant with regulations.

Formación

• Three years of security experience required.
• May require Tennessee Armed Guard License; ability to obtain license if not currently possessed.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsabilidades

• Patrol the building and perimeter regularly.
• Monitor and control access; watch alarm systems and video cameras; inspect doors and windows for locks.
• Respond to alarms, fires, medical emergencies, bomb threats, and other incidents.
• Apprehend criminals and evict violators.
• Conduct preliminary investigations and coordinate with local law enforcement.
• Submit clear, accurate logs and incident reports daily.
• Ensure compliance with policies, laws, and safety standards; manage equipment and weapons.
• Use MSCS Radio to stay in contact with security personnel and supervisors.
• Perform first aid or CPR.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
