Job summary

Sentry Force Security is seeking professional Armed Security Guards to protect State Registration Offices. You will maintain a secure environment for staff, visitors, and state property, while delivering excellent customer service in high-traffic public settings.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, alert, and capable of rapid response to incidents, with experience in security, a valid armed license, and the ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
• Active Armed Security License/Certification required.
• Must be legally authorized to carry a firearm while on duty.
• Previous armed security, military, law enforcement, or corrections experience preferred.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; flexible schedules including weekends/holidays.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible armed security presence throughout DMV facilities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, waiting areas, and parking lots.
• Conduct access control and verify identification when required.
• Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle.
• Respond to disturbances, emergencies, and suspicious activity.
• De-escalate conflicts and maintain order in public areas.
• Assist employees and visitors with security-related concerns.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
• Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Enforce facility rules, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
• Ensure firearm safety and compliance with all state and company regulations.
