Job summary

Law Security & Investigations, Inc. in Carlsbad, CA seeks exceptional Security Guards to patrol and secure premises and identify risks to staff and patrons. This seasonal part-time position may transition to full-time, with a schedule M-F 8am-4pm (or until client closes) from 11/23/26 through 1/5/27.

Armed positions require BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit. A BSIS Guard Card is required for all roles. CPR certification is also preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of full-time uniformed security experience preferred.
• BSIS Guard Card – Required for all positions.
• BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit – Required for Armed Positions.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Keep the site, materials, staff and patrons safe.
• Monitor premises as a visual deterrent to theft, violence, and rule infractions.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates for proper function and security.
• Enforce premise rules and regulations.
• Report facility issues such as fire hazards and leaks to Chain of Command.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
• Write reports and conduct investigations with incident documentation.

Job description

We are seeking exceptional Security Guards to become an integral part of our team. The selected individual(s) will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons.

This is a seasonal part-time position to full-time in Carlsbad, CA.

This detail goes from 11/23/26 through 1/5/27 and is M-F 8am-4pm (or until the client closes).

It is predominantly a static post dealing with access control and site security.

An end date is not set on these contracts but we will inform the hired guard(s) as soon as that information becomes available.

This position requires aBSIS Guard CardAND anExposed Weapons Permit. Please have copies of these available upon request.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keeping the site, materials, staff and patrons safe.
• Monitor premises as avisual deterrentto theft, violence, and/or infractions of rules
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
• Enforce premise rules and regulations
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes to Chain of Command
• Request emergency personnel for high risk situations
• Multi-tasking, prioritizing and completing tasks in an organized, efficient and effective manner.
• Safeguarding and maintaining highly sensitive and confidential information.
• Safeguarding individuals and property from all forms of security and safety hazards.
• Responding to alarms/fire/panic calls immediately and promptly securing the safety and security of human life and physical property.
• Strictly adhering to SOPs.
• Writing reports.
• Conducting thorough investigations and preparing written documentation regarding non-routine incidents with incident reports, pictures and witness statements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 1 year of full-time uniformed security experience preferred.
• Law Enforcement, Military and/or National Guard experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license.
• BSIS Guard Card – Required for all positions
• BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit– Required for Armed Positions
• CPR certification.

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
