Job summary

Star Pro Security in Irvine, CA is seeking an Armed Security Guard to protect designated sites by patrolling and responding to incidents. This full-time role requires vigilance, strong judgment, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include patrolling, enforcing laws and policies, monitoring surveillance, documenting incidents, coordinating with authorities, and maintaining proficiency with firearms and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in criminal justice or related field preferred.
• BSIS Guard Card and Exposed Firearm Permit required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in law enforcement, security, or military service, with ability to handle firearms safely.
• Must have a duty belt, level 3 duty holster, level 3A body armor, and your own firearm.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• No history of felony convictions or serious misdemeanor offenses.
• 2 out of the 3: Baton cert, OC Spray cert, or Taser cert is highly desired.

• Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas to detect and deter criminal activity, vandalism, or other security threats.
• Enforce laws, ordinances, and company policies to maintain order and protect property.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and other security systems to identify suspicious behavior or potential security breaches.
• Interact with the public, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, providing assistance and information as needed.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and complaints, documenting findings and preparing detailed reports for further action.
• Coordinate with law enforcement agencies, emergency responders, and other stakeholders as necessary to address security concerns and maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain proficiency in the use of firearms, defensive tactics, and other law enforcement techniques through regular training.
• Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing law enforcement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
