Qualifications

• CLEET armed security guard license preferred; must be obtained within 180 days of hire.
• Cherokee Nation Armed Security Officer license required.
• Knowledge of firearms and defensive tactics.
• Knowledge of surveillance video systems and chain of evidence.

Responsibilities

• Actively patrol CNE properties to protect assets, guests, and employees; report hazards to leadership.
• Prevent entry with prohibited items; verify identification for age compliance.
• Greet guests, provide directions and assistance.
• Respond to accidents; perform CPR and first aid as needed.
• Detect suspicious activity; notify leadership and write detailed incident reports.
• Maintain relationships with local law enforcement and fire departments.
• Prepare written investigations and patrol reports; interview witnesses.

As an Armed Security Guard,you'llbe a criticalcomponentof our security team, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all Cherokee Nation Entertainment (CNE) properties, guests, and employees. This role requires a vigilant and proactive approach to security, including patrols, incident response, andmaintainingcompliance with all safety and regulatory standards.You'llwork closely with local law enforcement and leadership to uphold a secure and welcoming environment.

NOTE:This position is considered safety-sensitive and is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. Please note that a positive drug test result, including for marijuana, may result in a job offerbeing rescindedfor applicants or termination of employment for current employees, even if theypossessa valid medical marijuana license.

Responsibilities

• Actively patrol CNE properties, including casinos, smoke shops, and parking lots, to protect physical assets, guests, and employees. Report all safety hazards to leadership.
• Prevent guests from entering with prohibited items and address any violations of policies and procedures. Verify identification to ensure compliance with age requirements.
• Greet guests, provide directions, and offer aid to anyone who requests or requires it.
• Respond promptly to accidents and incidents, performing CPR and first aid procedures as needed.
• Detect suspicious activity and behavior, notify leadership, andmaintaindetailed written incident reports following established policies.
• Maintainstrong working relationships with local law enforcement agencies and fire and safety departments.
• Prepare written reports of investigations, criminal, and patrol activities. Interview witnesses and obtain signatures, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 6 months of experience in security or a related field.
• State of Oklahoma Council of Law Enforcement, Education, and Training (CLEET) armed security guard licensepreferred at time of hire;requiredwithin 180 days of hire or transfer date.
• Cherokee Nation Armed Security Officer licenserequired.
• Working knowledge offirearms and defensive tactics.
• Working knowledge ofsurveillance video systemsand how tomaintainachain of evidence.
• Ability to pass a CNE security-approved custody control and weapons training.
• Ability to obtain andmaintainlicensing by theappropriate gamingauthority.
• Must have andmaintainavalid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and carry materials up to50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Comfortable working in diverse settings, including climate-controlled offices, outdoors in all types of weather, and casino floors with exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise.
