Job summary

Patrol Solutions in California is seeking an experienced Armed Security Field Sergeant to protect residential and commercial properties. Weekend availability is required; a valid BSIS Guard Card, Exposed Firearms License, Baton and Pepper Spray permits, CPR/First Aid certification, and a clean California driver’s license are mandatory.

Starting pay is $25.50–$26.00 per hour, with on‑the‑job training, growth opportunities, and direct deposit.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of security experience required.
• Armed security experience preferred.
• Supervisory security experience required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and secure assigned property as described in post orders.
• Conduct vehicle/foot patrols and report incidents.
• Maintain daily activity and incident reports.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current BSIS Guard Card
• Must possess a current BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit
• Must possess a current BSIS Baton Permit
• Must possess a current Pepper Spray / OC Certification
• Must possess a current CPR / First Aid certification
• MUST own your own gear, equipment & firearm. Must posses a valid California Driver's License with 3 years of a CLEAN record
• Reliable transportation to and from the site.
• Previous patrol security experience
• Ability to read, write and understand and carry out written orders, policies, procedures, and instructions.
• Ability to write and understand English
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, outstanding customer service skills, and take the initiative in completing assigned tasks.
• Willing to accept shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime if needed.
• Friendly and professional demeanor
• Able to pass a drug test and background check

Security Professional Responsibilities

• Possess and maintain a valid State Guard Registration (guard card)
• Possess and maintain a valid California BSIS Exposed Firearms License
• Possess and maintain 2 less than lethal permits: BSIS Baton & Pepper Spray
• Possess and maintain a valid State CPR or First Aid Certification
• Conduct vehicle/foot patrols alone
• Patrol and maintain general security of assigned property as described in Post Orders / SOP.
• Utilize a smartphone or similar device to maintain a Daily Activity Report, and create Incident and Facility Maintenance Reports.
• Maintain consistent performance, attendance, uniform appearance, and professional grooming.
• Maintain professional communications with clients, colleagues, and the public.
• Respond to emergency calls, including medical, fire, and damage to property.
