Bob Hope School Elementary (Baytown) seeks a School Marshal to provide armed protection and safety for students, staff, and visitors. The role follows Texas School Marshal Program standards and district policies while reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, TCOLE certification, and firearm ownership credentials, with 1–3 years in related security fields preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and Firearm Owner's Identification Card.
• TCOLE School Marshal Certification.
• Fingerprint background check and fitness/drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong, discreet presence on campus to deter threats.
• Monitor entry/exit points and patrol, reporting suspicious activity.
• Collaborate with administration to evaluate safety vulnerabilities and implement measures.
• Respond to threats, including lockdowns or evacuations, as needed.
• Recordkeeping of patrols, incidents, and safety observations per policy.
