Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Safety & Security Officer to provide protective services across the Mount Carmel Health System. This full-time role operates on a rotating shift and focuses on maintaining a safe environment for all persons and property.

Key duties include enforcing regulations and policies, reporting safety discrepancies for mitigation, and applying job knowledge to intervene in safety issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy certificate within 90 days of employment as Armed Safety and Security Officer.
• Three to five years security, law enforcement or military experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment through job knowledge, skills and engagement.
• Enforce governmental regulations and Mount Carmel safety policies.
• Communicate safety discrepancies to appropriate parties for mitigation.
