Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an armed Security Officer – Roving Patrol Driver in New London, NC. You will serve and safeguard clients at government locations, performing patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and reporting security concerns.

This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license; armed guard card and firearms permit are preferred. You will follow site procedures, respond to incidents, and coordinate with leadership and responders as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Armed guard card/license preferred.
• Firearms permit preferred.
• Must be at least 21 for armed roles.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations following protocols.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access, verify credentials, and document visitor and incident information.
• Communicate observations and hazards to site leadership and emergency responders.
