Job summary

TriCorps is seeking an Armed Level III Security Officer for a Police Headquarters environment in El Paso, Texas. The role requires guarding staff, visitors, and facilities with vigilance and discretion, including screening entrants and maintaining order.

Applicants must hold a valid Texas PSB Level III Armed License and demonstrate reliability, excellent communication, and sound judgment. Shifts cover days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in security or policing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional presence at the front lobby to deter disruptions and protect staff, visitors, and property.
• Armed security officers assigned to the Police Administration building.
• Monitor building access and deter unauthorized personnel from entering.
• Handle security operations around and within the administration building as directed by the Police Department.
• Process entrants at the front information/security desk.
• Walk and patrol the building perimeter and parking areas as required.

Job Description And Responsibilities

• Security Officers will maintain a visible and professional presence in the front lobby to deter potential disruptions, as well as promote a secure environment for visitors.
• Security Officers assigned to the Police Administration building will be armed.
• Security Officers are to monitor building and keep unauthorized personnel out of the building.
• Security Officers are to be responsible for all security related areas around and within the administration building as directed by the Police Department.
• Security Officers are to process persons coming into the Police Administration building while working the front information/security desk.
• Security Officers may be requested to walk and patrol the perimeter of the building and parking lot area.

Schedule And Environment

• Shifts will be days, evenings, graveyards, weekends, and holidays.

TX PSB Level 3 Armed License
