Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Security and Safety Officer for a full-time night shift to protect patients, staff and facilities across our campuses. The role emphasizes compassionate, calm and clear response in line with our mission.

You will enforce policies, maintain a secure environment, and report safety issues; benefits include day-one medical/dental/vision, retirement match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Receipt of Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy certificate prior to shift as Armed Safety and Security Officer for Mount Carmel.
• Three to five years experience in security, law enforcement or military disciplines or equivalent training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment through job knowledge, skills and engagement. Intervene as appropriate in any safety & security observed issues.
• Enforce all governmental regulations, standards, policies associated with Mount Carmel Health System and Safety & Security policies (e.g., smoking policy).
• Communicate safety and security discrepancies to the appropriate parties for mitigation.
