Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an Executive Protection Advance Agent to join the Office of Global Security. The role delivers discreet armed protection to designated principals, performing comprehensive advance work to identify and mitigate risks globally.

Candidates must have strong judgment and discretion, with experience planning advances in unfamiliar environments and coordinating with security teams, law enforcement, and partners. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent security experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years of executive protection or close protection experience, incl. independent advance work.
• Current armed security license & concealed-carry authorization in NYS; ability to obtain additional licenses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough advances of residences, offices, venues, hotels, and events.
• Develop route analyses with primary and alternate routes and safe havens.
• Identify exits, rally points, hospitals, and emergency services; document with briefs and rosters.
• Provide armed close protection domestically and internationally as required.
• Coordinate logistics with hotel security, venue management, and law enforcement.
• Prepare after-action reports and maintain detailed activity logs and travel docs.
