Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Armed Driver Route Security in Austin, TX. You will conduct armed patrols, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to clients and store staff—ensuring safety and compliance with site policies.

The role requires a Level III Armed Certification in Texas, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate reports and documentation of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.
